Monday, June 22nd, 2020: The votes have been tallied and the winner of the Hal Morris League Outstanding Hitter Award has been named. It was awarded today to Brian Daniels from Jayuya for his great year at the plate.
He put up some impressive numbers, including a .316 batting average and a .408 on-base percentage this year while racking up 12 doubles, 1 triple, 15 home runs, 37 RBIs and 41 runs scored.

 | Jim Abbott League Names #1 Hitter
Monday, June 22nd, 2020: Today Western Michigan's Carl Young was named the Jim Abbott League Outstanding Hitter Award winner for 2020. He pounded JAL hurlers hard all season long, collecting 52 hits in 165 at-bats.
With a .315 batting average, 15 doubles, 1 triple, 19 home runs, 47 RBIs and 39 runs scored, he was the top votegetter.

 | Best Pitcher Honor Goes to Thomas of Louisiana State
Sunday, June 21st, 2020: He's in the early phase of his career, but this past season Jarrod Thomas performed like a veteran on the hill for the Louisiana State Tigers and walked away with the Hal Morris League Outstanding Pitcher Award in the process.
The 21-year-old Tigers star fashioned a 7-1 won-loss record in 2020 with a 2.18 ERA. In 82.2 innings of work and 11 starts, Thomas struck out 86 while giving up 72 hits and 13 walks. He held opposing batters to a .234 average.
