 | Garza Joins Kings of Clout with #400 Monday, August 3rd, 2020: At Quick Stop Stadium Alfonso Garza smashed his 400th career home run in a game against Farmingdale today. The 33-year-old second baseman had a hand in the Dam Site Drifters 6-1 victory with 1 home run and 1 RBI. For the day he went 4 hits-5 at-bats. At the press conference after the game, Garza downplayed his achievement. "Obviously, I've hit 400 home runs so I belong in that 400 club. But when you talk about the other guys that have done it, I'm not as good as they were. Those guys were the greatest of all time. I've just been able to scrape together some good years and stayed healthy and gotten there." Lifetime Garza is hitting .289 with 320 doubles, 51 triples, 400 home runs, 1296 RBIs and 1088 runs scored. He has appeared in 1752 games to date and delivered 2020 hits. |
