Talk of a deal between Dam Site and Tomás Descalzo came together today as the two sides inked a deal worth $51,300,000 over 6 years.
Descalzo is highly regarded around To The Wall Baseball for his talents, and is expected to add that extra spark to the Drifters roster.
Descalzo has a won-lost record of 53 wins and 33 losses with 721 strikeouts and a lifetime 3.85 ERA.

The euphoria surrounding a big name deal can sometimes overshadow the deal itself. Occasionally a team will mortgage its future to make a big splash, though no one in Dam Site was worried about that today as the club finalized terms with António Palácios.
Palácios will earn $5,630,000 per year over 2 years.
In 178 appearances Palácios boasts a 21-13 career record with a 3.25 ERA. He has been credited with a save 44 times and opponents have a batting average of .249 against him.

 | Saturday, October 4th, 2014: Closer William Darosa Out
Dam Site fans will be disappointed to learn that William Darosa developed back spasms while throwing a pitch in today's game. After the doctor informed the Dam Site Drifters manager that Darosa was expected to miss 1-2 weeks, the manager told the press that the rest of the team would have to step up their play until the closer could return. "You can't make excuses in baseball, because there's always a game tomorrow," said the team's skipper.
In 2014, Darosa has notched 12 saves. In 62 relief appearances, he has 109 strikeouts in 96.2 innings with a 2.79 ERA. His season won-lost mark is 7-5.
