| Breaking News | | Wednesday, August 27th, 2014: Montuluo Gives Toledo Goose Eggs! Before the game Vittorio Montuluo liked his chances and his instincts proved to be right. In a superb outing the Buccaneers pitcher whitewashed the Toledo Bullfrogs 4-0.
Montuluo said in the clubhouse afterward, "I just had a feeling it was going to be my day. My control was awesome. I could throw my curveball even when I was behind in the count."
The Caprica starter held Toledo scoreless, giving up 6 hits while registering 8 strikeouts and issuing 3 walks.
"We didn't have very many good at-bats," the Bullfrogs manager said in his postgame interview.
"When that happens, you usually lose."
This season Montuluo has 6 wins and 2 losses and a 2.16 ERA. | | Wednesday, July 9th, 2014: Kelly Guns Down Hawks Speaking after the game, the Toledo manager said, "Paul Kelly had everything going for him. He controlled their bat speed, stayed down, had a lot of movement... he had it all...masterful."
Kelly held the Mayotown Hawks to 2 hits and fashioned a fine 13-0 shutout. He had 1 walk and 5 strikeouts in the game.
"We couldn't get anything going. He certainly had our number," the Mayotown skipper told reporters.
