It appears to be only a rumor, but earlier today, fans around Las Vegas were buzzing with the news that their 33-year old reliever Todd Shuster had been asking for a trade. "I couldn't imagine him saying bad things about Las Vegas or wanting to leave." said one person.

Ronnie Nesmith pitched a strong game in blanking the Dam Site Drifters 5-0, allowed no runs on 3 hits, totaled 10 strikeouts and gave up no walks.
The Las Vegas manager said he could tell right away it was going to be a good game for Nesmith. "Right from the start, you could see how economical he was," he said. "He threw a lot of strikes."
This year Nesmith has made 35 starts, thrown 208 innings, fanned 170 batters and walked 119. His won-lost record is 8-18 with a 4.15 ERA.

Allegedly, Todd Shuster has asked to be traded from Las Vegas. It is rumored that he is unhappy with fans and the team management and that maybe the pressure and demands of playing here are too great.
