| Breaking News |  | Saturday, November 15th, 2014: Best PL Pitcher Announced
Yoshihito Kamuta of the Iowa City Stalkers was on cloud nine the entire 2014 season, mystifying most of the hitters he faced, then capping it off with the Patriotic League Billy Chapel Award.
Kamuta was spectacular in 32 starting assignments with 17 wins and 7 losses, 217.1 innings, 167 strikeouts and a fine 2.69 ERA.
All of the award-winning players will be honored this weekend at the SBWA annual awards dinner.

 | Saturday, August 23rd, 2014: Sands KO'd by Major Injury
The Iowa City Stalkers were jolted by some terrible news -- Roger Sands's baseball career was pronounced over -- the result of a torn ankle ligaments.
The club's GM told SION reporters, "We were all stunned by the news. Injuries are a part of the game, but you never get used to this kind of devastating news."
This year Sands is hitting .229 with 9 home runs and 52 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .336 clip and scored 56 runs.

It appears to be only a rumor, but earlier today, fans around Iowa City were buzzing with the news that their 33-year old first baseman Bruce Sanroman had been asking for a trade. "I couldn't imagine him saying bad things about Iowa City or wanting to leave." said one person.
