 | Wednesday, October 1st, 2014: Frunkus Ordóñez Named PL's Best Pitcher
Following one of the brightest stretches in his career, the Patriotic League awarded Farmingdale reliever Felipe Ordóñez September's Pitcher of the Month trophy.
He was mesmerizing as he held opponents to a .256 batting average and put together a 2-0 mark, 7 saves, 11 strikeouts and a 0.84 ERA during his 10.2 innings of work.
Thus far in 2014, Ordóñez has saved 33 games. His won-lost mark is 8 wins and 2 losses with 81 strikeouts in 71 innings, along with a 2.03 ERA.
