It is unknown at this time if there is any truth to the rumor that Potthole's Jim Lenahan has asked his team for a trade. Insiders indicate the starting pitcher may not be happy with the club management. So far, the team's owners have refused to comment.

 | Friday, October 3rd, 2014: Potthole Starting Pitcher Out
Medical officials from the Potthole Pride reported that the club's 24-year-old starting pitcher, John Crumb, suffered a strained back muscle in yesterday's matchup against the New York Moneymen while throwing a pitch. Crumb is expected to miss 1-2 weeks of action.
Currently Crumb has a 6-10 won-lost record in 32 starts with a 3.52 ERA. He also has 135 strikeouts in 204.2 innings.

When it came to hitting the baseball, Kenneth Smith was in a class by himself in the Nationalist League this past week. Nobody did it better.
The outstanding first baseman for Potthole tagged opposing pitchers for a .548 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 17 hits in 31 at-bats, 1 homers, 8 runs scored and 5 RBIs.
So far this year Smith is batting .333 with 6 home runs.
